Wanted: Suicide Bombers

*Warning: If you have a weak stomach, do NOT click on the first two links.*

In the morning when I wake up, the first thing I see when I turn on my computer, is another suicide bombing in Iraq. EVERY DAY. So I beg to ask the question: Just how many suicide bombers do they have before they run out? I would tend to think that this isn't exactly a job that they have people lining up for. I mean, who really wants to spend their life training for a mission at the end of which your reward is death? I can picture two Iraqi mothers watching their kids play in the sandbox, looking at them and thinking, "they blow up so fast."

But they keep coming.

Are there really thousands of these people out there lining up to kill themselves? I'm thinking there are. I am also thinking that these crazy fucks actually believe in whatever their so called "cause" is. Do they really think that we are trying to hurt them? Are they really too blind to realize that they are now free from Sadam's rule? Would they really rather have us get out of there and let them kill each other until they are all gone? Fine. Let's get out of there. If they want to kill each other that is their problem. We have enough things to worry about on our own soil, if we stopped trying to save the rest of the world from themselves, maybe we could fix a few things right here in the good 'ol USA.

We have all sorts of wars going on. The war in Iraq, the war on terror, the war on drugs, etc. Where is the war on Cancer? Where was the war on cancer while I watched not one but two grandfathers waste away to nothing right before my eyes? How about the war on homelessness? When do we get to stop hearing about the homeless guy they found whose skin was frozen to the sidewalk? The war on Guns? We don't need suicide bombers, we have 16 year olds shooting each other in the streets right here. We are way to busy saving the world to save ourselves. Know what that means? Just like every other major rule on this planet, at some point it comes to an end. Put that in your peace pipe and smoke it.

There shall be "wars and rumors of wars" so says the good book.

Saddam has nothing to do with these bombers. So far, only two of them have been Iraqis. Most of them come from Saudi Arabia. This isn't about Iraq, it's about democracy in the Middle East. They fear and hate the thought.

actually they do have people queueing up for the job. To die for one's religion is seen to be an honourable way to die and a way to reach paradise.

Try reading around the subject before you post and you may well discover a bit more.

The US can't pull out. It launched an illegal war against a regime that whilst not having any record at all on human rights, was still in power. Against the UN rules. So to storm in, then decide that there are no WMD and its all getting a bit hairy would only prove to the rest of the world that indeed the French were right and the americans wrong.

more children are dying and starving in Iraq post war compared to pre-war. interesting figure i thought.

I agree that the US should look to its own home policies a little more. But isolationist policies are not the way forward and some hypotheseise that they may indeed one day lead to a complete halt to any international travel due to national fears of terrorist attacks. another interesting thought.

Amen - it's funny how wars mean different things to different people. War on cancer (which I hope we win), war on drugs...etc....What's war and what isn't?
